Diving & Snorkeling aboard the True North

Please note that diving and snorkeling activities may be offered on your upcoming cruise. It is important that you familiarize yourself with the following guidelines concerning equipment:

  • Snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel & fins) are available for use onboard.  However, bringing your own equipment will ensure a perfect fit.
  • Divers are provided with cylinders, weight belts and weights.
  • Exposure suits/Wetsuits are highly recommended for divers.  Please note that exposure suits are normally available for sale onboard however we cannot guarantee that we will have your size in stock.  Rash vests are recommended for snorkelling expeditions.  A short wetsuit is also recommended for snorkelers who feel the cold.
  • It is recommended that divers arrange their own personal dive equipment including regulators, BCD, dive computer and wetsuit.  THE SHARING OF DIVE COMPUTERS IS NOT PERMITTED.
  • If you would prefer to hire your dive gear, it is essential to speak with your Adventure Partner to reserve your size before departure.  A limited selection of diving equipment (regulators, dive computers, safety sausages, BCD’s and dive torches) is available for hire for the duration of your cruise.  Your hire charge will be placed on your onboard account.
  • Divers MUST dive with a safety sausage. If you do not bring your own you will be required to purchase one on-board.
  • Night dives MAY be offered. If you intend to night dive, you MUST bring your own primary light source. A secondary or back up light source is also recommended.
  • Divers MUST provide proof of certification on-board.
