Away We Go SSHow about kicking off the New Year with an adventure-cruise to the intriguing Eyre Peninsular?

Visit the McLaren’s finest wineries and famed Kangaroo Island. Cage dive with great white sharks, explore beautiful Coffin Bay and get amongst the action at a ‘tuna rodeo’.

Experience all this and much, much more aboard the revered TRUE NORTH.

North Star Cruises Southern Safari cruise departs Adelaide on January 10 and eight nights of unique adventure starts at just $5995 (including a return flight from Ceduna).

The TRUE NORTH is better known for conducting adventure-cruises in Western Australia’s Kimberley region but there is no denying the appeal of inshore waters between Adelaide and the Eyre Peninsular.

“The coast between Adelaide and the Peninsular is one of Australia’s best kept secrets – when I first went there I couldn’t help but feel that you would be pretty lucky to live in that part of the world, and that’s not bad coming from someone who lives in Broome” reports North Star's general manager Peter Trembath.

“Not only do you get to tick-off bucket list items like visiting Kangaroo Island and cage diving with white sharks – the whole coast has a special feel. Sometimes it’s typically Australian – rugged and isolated, at other times you encounter rolling hills and farmland, but it’s always kinda cosy and welcoming.”

And the cruise is not just favoured by North Star management.

Past guests Paul and Jenny Vonthien commented ‘‘Paul and I almost enjoyed the Southern Safari more than our Kimberly cruise.”

I was expecting a little adventure but was absolutely amazed at each day’s activities. From teaching me to snorkel, cage diving for great whites, swimming with tuna and sea lions, beautiful beaches to walk, breathtaking Pearson Island to conquer and catching King George whiting. Not to mention the great start at McLaren Vale - sumptuous morning tea, tempting tastings at the Olive Grove and the wonderful lunch at Penny's Hill Winery.
